Air-Semiconductor
Technology: ASP.NET & XML
Features: Easy update of content via XML files. No CMS.
Overview:
Air needed a website, and fast. They had a lot of media interest in their product and needed comprehensive newsroom section detailing product documentation, image libraries, press releases, awards and events to be updated frequently. The website was a global offering, and required documents to be released in English with supporting documents in Japanese and Chinese where appropriate. Releases were likely to be very time specific, occur often in the early hours of the morning and Air preferred to arrange ongoing website maintenance rather than administering content themselves. The website for Air was put together in around a week, and uses XML for data handling. The news and events are time sensitive and new items can be added into the data files with release and archive dates allowing them to appear at very specific times without having to pay for out of hours edits - keeping the maintenance costs low.
