Overview:
Revelo needed a redesign to convert their existing site which was heavily reliant on table based designs with JavaScript popups, to a standards compliant site, which was search engine friendly and would also provided a means of updating their frequently changing distributor lists and documentation. Without this they would be unable to expand their market, needing both the content and layout to provide better search engine results. To enable this, the site was converted to a compliant CSS based design, and content and metatags were reviewed. The site provides a login area which then replaces certain content with an inline CMS allowing them to update distributor lists and documentation easily. The data is stored in XML files and read and written using XSLT - this provided them with a quick, easy and cheap implementation of a CMS, without the overheads of a database.
